Preparations for the procession of Virgin de Candelaria, whose 400 year old church is at the top of the hill next to Cartagena, and whose "day" falls on the date of our wedding anniversary in India!! We came to the church, and were able to witness these exclusive preparations, prohibited even to the thousands of devotees who climb up the hill in the heat on this day to join the start of the procession, by a remarkable series of fortunate coincidences.
